Have you ever cleaned your mattress? It is something that never even crossed my mind. I would do the necessary wipe down of my sons’ crib mattress if they had accidents (they have a plastic coating), but that was really about it. When I joined Norwex I went on a mission to try out everything in the catalog. One of the last items that I tried was the mattress cleaner. It just seemed like it was overkill to me. I have a mattress cover on my bed, and a sheet, why would I need to clean the mattress itself? Here is a review of the Norwex Mattress Cleaner.
A Review of the Norwex Mattress Cleaner, My Findings at Home
In my own home, I use the Mattress cleaner about monthly. Before I go to work, I strip the beds, spray them (and the pillows), wash all the sheets and allow the beds to air out and dry while I am at work. After applying the spray it is important to air out for at least four hours. This allows the enzymes in the cleaner to go to work and break down all the debris that is on our mattresses and upholstered items. Since using the Mattress Cleaner, I have found that my eyes don’t itch like they used to when I wake up, and I am not as stuffy. My husband actually snores less too. That in itself is a HUGE win!
A Review of the Norwex Mattress Cleaner, Notes from My Customers
The Mattress Cleaner is one of my best-selling consumable products. One of my customers has a daughter that is extremely allergic to cats. So much so, that she had reactions sitting on furniture that cats had been on at some point in time (even if it wasn’t recent). With one application of the Mattress Cleaner, she no longer needed meds after sitting on the couch where the cats were. My other customers have reported that their husbands snore less and that they have fewer problems with allergies. A customer who provided a review of the Norwex Mattress Cleaner also said that she uses it when her sons have accidents at night. She says it really takes care of the urine smell (I’ve had this experience with my own boys).
A Review of the Norwex Mattress Cleaner, Uses and Tips
You can spray the Mattress Cleaner on any upholstered surface in your home with the exception of foam mattress toppers. I have used it on my couches, carpets, stuffed animals, pillows, bedding, the interior of my car…..pretty much any soft surface in my home. The enzymes in it eat up the dust mite poop (there is really no nicer way to write it), proteins from sweat and urine, and dead skin cells leaving fresh and clean bedding and furniture. After the items that I spray air out for at least four hours, I vacuum them. You don’t have to, its just something that I have gotten in the habit of doing.
